The state of Selangor, which includes the Klang Valley, has an extremely well-developed multimodal infrastructure that includes extensive highways, a well-connected rail system, air and sea terminals, and a number of ports. KL and the surrounding cities and villages in Selangor form an urban and commercial hub known as the Klang Valley.
Several major transportation hubs in Malaysia also located in Selangor, including the country’s primary airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the largest multimodal transport hub and railway station, Kuala Lumpur Sentral, and one of the world’s busiest international class seaports and container hubs, Port Klang. The State and Federal Government are making proactive efforts to attract investments through ongoing bilateral and multilateral initiatives, which is expected to strengthen regional supply chain linkages.
